About Dasir

Founded in 1956, Dasir is a long-established French distributor of automotive replacement parts serving repair professionals nationwide. Their Objective

Running a mid-sized aftermarket business can be demanding, with tight margins, vendor requirements, scattered data sources, and fast operational rhythms. For companies like Dasir, routine operational and reporting demands can quickly add up over time, and even a standard process like monthly supplier reporting can become a significant drain on time and energy—creating pressure, fatigue and lost productivity. They didn’t need a BI “powerhouse” that required consultants. They needed a platform that fit the constraints of SMBs, and one that worked with their teams rather than against them.

  • Data scattered across ERP modules and branch locations: Their ERP worked well for operations, but not for analytics. Teams struggled to merge siloed data, making any cross-functional insight slow and painful.
  • A monthly reporting process that consumed time and resources: Supplier reporting was mandatory and highly standardized. It had to be delivered in a strict, standardized format that their ERP couldn’t produce. IT and operations spent 1–2 full days every month manually exporting, validating, and consolidating spreadsheets. A mandatory, routine task became a recurring operational burden.
  • Excel becoming a bottleneck instead of a helper: Spreadsheets had reached their limits. They were fragile, time-consuming, and increasingly dependent on one or two “Excel experts.” The margin for error was growing, and so did the frustration.
  • Traditional BI tools were not built for SMB realities: Tools like Tableau and Power BI appeared powerful on paper but would have required heavy infrastructure, specialized skills, and ongoing consultant fees. For an SMB with a lean IT team, that simply wasn’t sustainable. They needed BI capabilities—not a new department.

We needed a reporting solution that was powerful, accessible, and scalable. ClicData won us over thanks to its intuitive setup and the fact that it doesn’t require heavy infrastructure. The impact on our data management and reporting has been tremendous and enables us to take on new challenges.

Their Approach

Once the manual work, fragmented data, and rigid reporting cycles became too heavy to manage, Dasir needed a BI solution that didn’t add complexity, but removed it. ClicData stepped in with a practical, scalable approach that fit the pace and reality of an SMB.

  • Automated the monthly supplier reporting cycle: Replaced 1–2 days of manual Excel work with fully automated, standardized reports, recovering 24 days of productivity per year.
  • Delivered a BI platform SMB teams can actually manage: No heavy infrastructure, no consultant dependency, no complex architecture. Just a scalable, end-to-end platform the team could own confidently.
  • Provided hands-on expert support that accelerated adoption: ClicData analysts immersed themselves in Dasir’s workflows, helping build dashboards, automations, and processes while gradually empowering internal teams.
  • Proved value immediately with a custom prototype: A tailored proof-of-concept showed exactly how ClicData would fix their reporting challenges and validated the investment early.
  • Enabled expansion into more strategic analytics: After the first win, Dasir seamlessly extended ClicData to sales productivity tracking, net margin monitoring, and vendor incentive dashboards.

ClicData proved to be a real discovery both technologically and in terms of partnership.

It offered a complete, easy-to-use platform ideally suited for an SMB that cannot dedicate full-time IT resources to building and maintaining Power BI-style architectures.

After successfully automating the monthly supplier report, we expanded ClicData to new use cases, including sales productivity tracking, net margin monitoring and year-end rebates and vendor incentives.
