- Data ResidencyOur shared plans can host data in Europe (Ireland) or USA (East). If you need to keep data in Canada, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Singapore or Australia go with Dedicated.
- Higher Capacity and PerformanceDedicated plans start at 100 GB of storage and 4 CPUs and scale in to 16 TB and 80 cores, enough to power any large scale data warehouse.
- Predictable and Stable PerformanceThe entire server and database engine is reserved for your tasks and data operations so all resources (memory, disk and CPU) are reserved and available at any time.
- Direct Data ConnectionWith Dedicated you can use your favourite SQL IDE or any other tool compatible with SQL Azure DB (and soon PostgreSQL) to connect and work directly with the data.
- Data Scripts ModuleData Scripts (machine learning, advanced statistics) is only available on dedicated for security and performance reasons.

Our performance index is a combined measure of the type of server, disk, number of CPUs and memory allocated to the server. Performance is relative and varies from data set to data set depending on volume and schema.

What are the self-hosting requirements?
Currently, self hosting supports a SQL Server, Azure DB or Synapse hosted by you on your own cloud or internal infrastructure. For both SQL Server the minimum requirements are SQL Server 2022 Enterprise with Columnar Store Indexing capabilities and enough performance based on the volume of data you intend to process.
How is data migration handled when switching from shared to dedicated hosting?
When you upgrade to a Dedicated hosting, your account needs to be locked and during that time no tasks will be processed on the account. Depending on the volume of data, the process may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my dedicated hosting plan as my needs change?
You can upgrade at any time. Dedicated hosting requires a minimum of 12 months commitment but you can downgrade at any time as long as the volume of data, and all other limits (users, refreshes) still meet your capacity.
Are there compliance certifications (e.g., ISO, SOC 2) specific to dedicated hosting environments?
The same level of compliance and security applies to Dedicated Hosting as our Shared plans.
